As a part of our series about women who are shaking things up in their industry, we had the pleasure of interviewing Seung-Ae Park.

In a male-dominated tech world in South Korea, Seung-Ae Park is one of the youngest female CEOs in the country and has broken several glass ceilings. Since taking over in 2020, Seung-Ae Park has focused on building JiranSoft into a leading SaaS company in Korea. Last year alone, under Ms. Park’s direction, the company made 10 billion won in sales from a single office keeper product. More than half of that is revenue from cloud-like services

Thank you so much for doing this with us! Before we dig in, our readers would like to get to know you a bit more. Can you tell us a bit about your “backstory”? What led you to this particular career path?

I had the unique opportunity to become JiranSoft’s CEO within eight years of joining the company.

I joined JiranSoft as a salesperson In 2012. At the time, their main product, OfficeKeeper, was generating less than $1,000 per month in sales. After I joined JiranSoft, however, OfficeKeeper sales started to increase through various affiliate activities.
