K-Cyber Security Startups’ Global Challenge: We-Bridge Worlds Launches

In April 2025, a significant event was held at the JIRAN Family headquarters, focusing on the global expansion of K-Cyber Security companies. With a shared understanding that after K-conglomerates represented by Samsung and LG, and K-Culture symbolized by the Korean Wave, it’s now time for ‘K-Cyber Security’ to advance globally, the platform ‘We-Bridge Worlds’ was officially launched to support Korean security companies’ global expansion. Based on Israel’s proven cybersecurity success model, this platform offers localization strategies and execution-centered programs, with leaders who have gained diverse experience on the global stage, including Aviram Jenik, Noam Rathaus, Dongbeom Lee, and Chiyoung Oh.

During the event, four founders with different overseas market experiences shared their insights on global expansion strategies. We-Bridge Worlds CEO Aviram Jenik emphasized that “this is the moment when the third wave of K-trends, where K-security startups can enter the world stage, begins.” Genians CEO Dongbeom Lee advised that overseas expansion requires sustainable strategies rather than one-time events, based on his initial failure experiences in Thailand, New York, and Japan. JIRAN Family CDO Chiyoung Oh emphasized the long-term perspective of global expansion, noting that “it took 3 years for the first sales, 6 years to break even, and 7 years to stabilize” based on his experience entering the Japanese market.

We-Bridge Korea CEO Kangman Lee pointed out that domestic security companies that have entered the U.S. market account for less than 1% of the total, and announced plans to provide practical services such as market entry consulting, sales agency, product localization, marketing and PR, and customer success programs. Participants agreed on three common messages: “overseas expansion requires a long-term strategy,” “the path together is important to reduce trial and error,” and “Korea’s technological capabilities are valid in the global market.” Under the philosophy that “going alone is faster, but going together goes further,” We-Bridge is volunteering to be a bridgehead for enhancing the global competitiveness of Korean cybersecurity companies.
